 Our service is focused towards the Katkari tribal community. They are greatly vulnerable as they do not possess any land at all. They are at the mercy of money lenders and land owners and are greatly dependent on them for any cultivation. They lack employment opportunities. The level of migration is on the rise as they are oppressed by the land lords and lack source of income. Their position is at the lowest strata of the social ladder.

 Due to migration elderly and widow are left behind in the village, they are unable to go for daily wages. Because of rampant child marriage the young tribal couples separate from the family and are unable to take care of their elderly parents.

Due to social stigma widows are looked down upon and are considered bad omen.  Due to changes in the Government Rules (GR) they are sidelined from many of the schemes. For instance, Public Distribution System, Pension Scheme etc.

We work in 26 villages.  In first  year we are planning to take five villages and 10 women from each village to implement this project. In second year we will extend our services to five more villages and third year add another five villages.

KEY ACTIVITIES IN BRIEF TO ACHIEVE THE KEY OBJECTIVES.

(a) Donate medical supplies and vitamins. 
(b)Organize seminars on health issues
(c )Provide safe shelter
(d) supply of nutritious food.
 (e) Distributions of cloths
(f) Establish micro finance programme and  other revenue generating activities
(g) To organize  awareness session on government schemes
